Project Development Manager – Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs

£32,620 per annum + stakeholder pension
Full time, initial fixed term contract until 31 March 2012
Secondments, freelance and job share arrangement would be considered

An exciting and challenging post to drive the development and delivery of the Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs (Devon SSE) and its programmes from start-up phase to full maturity. The role requires proven ability to secure a broad range of funding, a high degree of partnership working combined with key leadership skills and entrepreneurial flair.

Devon School for Social Entrepreneurs (Devon SSE) supports pioneering individuals in developing their creative and entrepreneurial skills to deliver solutions for a range of social issues. Devon SSE is part of a national network of 10 schools in the UK and was set up in September 2009, with its first action learning programme running from January to December 2010. Students are currently being recruited for the Year 2 programme and a variety of new projects are also being developed.

To succeed in this role, you will need demonstrable experience of securing funds and investment, leading pioneering projects, establishing and converting a vision into a tangible outcome and you will be an effective ambassador for Devon SSE and its student group. Above all else, you will embody the enthusiasm, creativity, ‘can do’ attitude, openness and professionalism that Devon SSE aims to cultivate in its students.

Human Resources Officer

As HR officer you will provide generalist HR advice and support against the HR strategy & framework to support the work of Dartington’s charitable activities.

To succeed you will need to be fully CIPD qualified or qualified by experience, with persuasive and credible influencing skills. You will also be meticulous and numerate, with strong IT skills, and able to work collaboratively within a small team.

Publications Co ordinator

You’ll provide wide ranging support to our Publications Manager in the production of research in practice materials and publications. Key tasks will include project managing publications, updating the RiP website, managing production schedules and undertaking sub editing and proof reading.

Experience of successfully managing print and non print production is a must. You should also have copy writing skills and proven ability to design effective promotional materials.

Web & E Learning Co ordinator

Developing and updating research in practice and research in practice for adults websites and our in house contacts and event management database, you’ll actively champion e- learning and use of social media across the organisations.

You should have proven skills in website development and database management and a thorough understanding of HTML/XML. A good working knowledge of Web server administration is essential, together with strong technical and interpersonal skills and an eye for detail.

We are looking for a housekeeper who will enjoy working within the unique Dartington Hall environment.

If you have high cleaning standards, an attention to detail and believe in exceeding customers expectations we would love to hear from you.

Previous experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Dartington Hall support training to NVQ standard.
