Getting Involved

The buildings needed to to support our vision of a strong, engaged community will take time to realise. In the meantime we are keen to capture the spirit of the project and already run a series of lectures and activities through the project which are open to all. There are plenty of ways for you to get involved:

Foxhole Community Garden
Stemming from an idea suggested by our local community, the members of Foxhole Community Garden have transformed an unused patch of land at Dartington into a fertile haven. There is still plenty of work to do and there are jobs for everyone. Please click here to find out how you can help.

Learning Curves Lecture Programme
Learning Curves is a series of Art History lectures run by Dr Geri Parlby. The course provides an opportunity to extend your knowledge, meet new people and be inspired. Click here for this years’ programme.

Tai Chi Qigong
We are really pleased to be able to offer Tai Chi Qigong classes for potential residents of Abundant Life and the local community. Tai Chi is a Chinese moving meditation which helps release stress and improve balance and co-ordination – something we can all benefit from. Visit our Tai Chi page for more information and to see a short video of Tai Chi Qigong in action.

Volunteering
There are several ways you can volunteer your time to support the Abundant Life project whether just sparing a minute to share your thoughts with us or coming along and helping us with events. Click here for more information.

What would you like to do next?
This year we are looking to introduce new activities into the Abundant Life programme. As always we are keen for this to be led by what people want to see and do here and what would most help you to live an “abundant Life”. Please take part in our short poll to let us know the most popular choice for our next activity.
