This folder contains records accumulated by Peter Sutcliffe through his role as Chairman of the Committee primarily regarding the activities of the Milk Marketing Boards Dartington Grass Drying Centre (MMBDGDC) and the purchase of the centre from the MMB by The Dartington Hall Trustees, and the buildings change of use to a Textile Spinning Shed.

Material includes: a reports on conferences of Chairmen of Grass Drying Committees; minutes from 11 meeting of the MMBDGDC Advisory Committee, and two Annual General Meetings; a number of Chairmen's Weekly Production Reports; a programme for 'Grassland Demonstration'; summary cost accounts; report of operations during 1953; a Town and Country Planning General Development Order, 1960 to change the use of the Grass Drying Plant to a Textile Spinning Shed; and a copy of a 'Report on Inspection of Grass Drying Plant, Dartington'.

This folder also contains correspondence primarily regarding meetings, winter work for staff, the appointment of a new manager, the purchase and redevelopment of the centre and building, and the purchase of land at Shorter Cross.
