“Dartington is a perfect spot to escape and focus on a new creation – away from the hustle and bustle of daily life”Wayne McGregor, Random Dance

Our artist residencies programmes serve two purposes:

  1. Research and Development
  2. Making Work

The focus of our residencies is on work that:

  • Marks a new area of work for the artist or organisation
  • Engages with the areas of social justice and sustainability
  • Offers potential for audience engagement and participation
  • Enables Dartington to really add value for the artist or organisation

The programme has supported artists through different stages of the exploration and creation process and gave opportunities for others to engage with the work of artists through workshops, open rehearsals and talks.
