Headliner: Zun Zun Egui

Zun Zun Egui (from Bristol via Mauritius and Japan) conjure up music with a full-bodied sound.

A four piece who fire up mighty, eternal grooves propelled by tropical melodies, East African guitar practice, chiming epic choruses and multi-lingual incantations. They make a rainbow blare of rhythm and sound that pulls both the rockers and the writhers to its heart.

The band’s reputation comes on the back of some raucous live shows and extensive touring including the Lake District to Milan, SXSW to Penryn and the club night they run in Bristol called ‘How Come’. They have played alongside musicians as diverse as The Ex, Mark Ribot, Health, A Hawk and A Hacksaw, Tinariwen, Micachu and The Shapes and Chris Corsano. They got blisters on their fingers. Oxbow Lakes are a young, predominantly instrumental art-rock quartet.

Hailing from Torquay, Devon, Oxbow Lakes have refined their sound of danceable, melodic, ambience with a progressive eagerness to experiment in fields of noise. Starting the project just over a year ago they have been welcomed with appreciation for their take on live performance by music lovers of all types. With intense builds, sweeping sound scapes and euphoric climaxes, Oxbow Lakes deliver an ‘epic’ live show.
