It is a great pleasure to announce that the Office of Communication (Ofcom) has awarded a 5 year community radio licence to Soundart Radio.
This means that Totnes and Dartington area will have its very own arts-based not-for-profit local radio station which will reflect the true spirit of this place and its people.
Soundart Radio is an arts-based radio station founded by student members of Dartington College of Arts. Soundart Radio aims to create opportunities for practising artists, musicians and engaged consumers to experiment with the medium of radio as a means of creative expression.
Soundart Radio serves a rural community distinctive for its independent and innovative approach to art and cultural activity. The station’s broad editorial reach will reflect this spirit by being adventurous in its programming and inclusive to anyone wishing to experiment with radio as a creative medium.
