What our 2nd and 3rd year students have to say

Harriet Riley (2nd year, Devon) “South West Music school is a really great opportunity to meet other people of my age with the same passion for music as me. I feel really lucky to be able to be a part of it as I’m really learning and benefiting from it in loads of ways, in both a musical and professional sense.”

Luke Steven (3rd year, Bristol) “‘SWMS has provided me with fantastic, top quality instrumental teachers who are helping me to progress, fast!. Since I’ve been on SWMS I’ve been introduced to different styles of music which I hadn’t experienced before.”

Josie Newton (3rd year, Plymouth) “I have had the chance to work with established musicians, which with the experience with them, I have grown from and feel more confident as performer.”

Sam Fisher (2nd year, Devon) “When I found out I was going to be part of South West Music School I was ecstatic, I feel very privileged to have been given this amazing chance to push my musical talent further. I look forward to meeting fellow musicians where we can help each other develop our skills further but first and foremost push my ability as far as it can go.”

Harry Smith (3rd year, WILTS) “I’m a totally different player to what I was a year ago. South West Music School has given me invaluable advice and tuition and I have improved immeasurably”

James Aldridge (2nd year, Gloucs) “My ambition is to make a career out of my music, so the more help and experience I can get, the better. I am learning to cooperate with other musicians better, learning much more about how music and the music business works, how to make a career and how get yourself known by other musicians and promoters.”
