STEPHAN KOPLOWITZ: TASKFORCE - Tour Details
LIQUID LANDSCAPES
Project Overview
STEPHAN KOPLOWITZ: TASKFORCE is a new site-art touring dance company. Fluid in its conception TaskForce brings together new partners and collaborating artists for each location building creative networks that span the globe. Its current project Liquid Landscapes is a three-year triptych based on the theme of water that began in Los Angeles, California in 2008. Under the direction of award winning US-based site artist Stephan Koplowitz, eight UK and US dancers, composer Hugh Nankivell, filmmaker Gorav Kalyan, and a host of invited area artists, TaskForce comes to Plymouth, Buckland Abbey and Dartington this summer converging on seven historically, culturally and ecologically significant water-related sites. After three weeks of intensive rehearsal and experimentation, TaskForce will perform seven different site-specific works throughout the region from 20-28 June 2009.
