
On 14 and 15 of August Dartington Hall played host to ‘Apparitions’ – a world exclusive nighttime performance, set in the buildings and grounds of a 12th Century Medieval estate, starring a cast of 85 professional and amateur musicians and actors and featuring a 2000 year old Celtic war horn, a full choir, and the devil on a very large horse.

The Dartington International Summer School is very proud to be part of the TQ9 community – and after 60 years of putting Dartington on the international map, the famous music school is looking for new ways to engage and involve the local community.

Sue Kellam has worked at Dartington in a variety of capacities since 1964 but some 20 years ago she took 5 years out to study art, obtaining a BA hons. in fine art in 1992. Since then she has worked part time as resident florist at Dartington.

On the 15th & 16th July five young musicians from South West Music School and five dancers from Youth Dance Academy performed in Fish-Tale on the main stage at Sadler’s Wells, London as part of Excellent!

Adapted from the West End musical of the same name Mamma Mia! is guaranteed to be the soundtrack of the summer.
