Innovations Project - The Ideas File Overflows

Over recent months Dartington has been going into Totnes discussing both its own and local people’s new ideas for the estate. There is no shortage of both. At the recent series of open meetings and smaller drop in sessions everyone with an idea was encouraged to engage with Dartington and discuss the future activities that they would like to see take root.
From developing new approaches to addressing climate change to the creation of a ‘virtual’ Dartington for an increasingly ‘virtual’ world; from offering a more ‘abundant’ life for retired people to a school for social entrepreneurs; from a centre for writing courses to commercial projects developing affordable, flexible and well-designed eco-homes; the numbers of ideas coming from both on and off the estate continues to grow. And there appears to be no let up in the ideas being generated with a new proposal landing on Innovations Project Director, Andy Christian’s desk virtually every day.
The Innovations Project is an opportunity to have your voice heard. Over coming weeks a new section will be launched on our website where anyone interested in having a stake in the future shape of the Dartington Estate will be able to find out more about the selection criteria for the project, submit proposals and discuss the strongest ideas that are currently under consideration.
In the meantime if you have an idea or would like to attend one of our regular drop in sessions, the next is on 11th October in Totnes, please contact Amy Burns on 01803 847527 or a.burns@ciderpress.co.uk.
