Parts of the gardens are accessible to wheelchairs but some parts are not. Access has recently been improved with a new bridge – click here for more information – which is now ready for use.
The majority of the farmland on the Dartington Hall estate is not accessible to the public. However, there are a number of permissive paths that run through the estate. There are also five public footpaths which pass over the estate. These paths are not accessible to wheelchairs.
Please note that at periods throughout the year these paths may be closed at short notice. Groups of walkers wishing to walk on the Dartington Hall estate should complete an application form. Please click here for a copy of the form.
When using any of the paths on the Dartington Hall estate, we ask walkers to follow the Countryside Code. The government’s website on the new Countryside Code can be accessed here. Please keep dogs on a lead at all times. Please also note some of the paths are uneven and can become slippery during damp or wet weather and so it is advisable to wear stout shoes if you are planning to walk around the estate.
