Volunteer for the Home Festival

Tuesday 08 May

It would be impossible to deliver the Home Festival without the support of a huge team of enthusiastic and willing volunteers. Last year’s Home Festival volunteers had a great time and gave us some wonderful feedback.

If you would like to volunteer for the Home Festival 2012, please click here to download the application form.

“As always very relaxed and friendly… met some old and new faces during my shift…… Had a good variety of tasks and enjoyed it very much. Just right! Wish I’d had time to do both days.”

“I thought your volunteer organization was excellent…. A good introductory briefing and walk around. Nice approachable people. And everybody very helpful….”

“I talked to lots of people and made new connections. It was great to feel part of this great event. The shifts we did were great as we had 3 different jobs…. I think the food and drink offered to us was really generous and the talk at the beginning made me feel that I would make a difference to the day. I loved being a volunteer and will be doing it next year!”

“I really enjoyed working alongside Jo, the bookings manager, handing out wristbands on Friday night. We were busy, we had a laugh, and the time flew. We were well supported…. I would be very interested in volunteering again… “

“I found the level of ‘perks’ of volunteering really impressive – it’s usually a cup of tea and a biscuit if you’re lucky – very well looked after volunteers. Thank you. In all, I really enjoyed the festival, all my old 6th form friends from years ago are jealous of me getting to go to a Suzanne Vega gig and definitely worth volunteering at.”

Volunteers are crucial to the smooth running of the festival and help to make it special. Volunteering at the HOME Festival will give you the chance to be part of a team of like-minded people, the opportunity to be involved behind the scenes, to make new friends and enjoy many of the events when you are not on duty.

Please see the application form for information about the volunteering shifts and roles.
