Dartington Open Day 08

At noon on Saturday 31st May Dartington will throw open its doors for the annual Open Day.

Dartington’s international environment college Schumacher is currently working with the UK’s first transition initiative Transition Town Totnes to bring innovative ideas around the very real issues of climate change and life after peak oil into the hands of the community.

The Dartington Hall Trust and the Western Morning News are delighted to be working together to launch their first South West Photographer of the Year Competition

A group of 18 talented young music and arts students from Devon and Cornwall have now been selected to take part in the Idyllwild Summer Arts Program.

The Dartington Hall Trust can now announce its plans to create a new Schumacher Academy/Educational Centre located at the heart of the Dartington estate and ethos.

On Saturday 26th April come and mark the opening of the new season at Schumacher College with a morning of talks and the chance to meet with staff and local people interested in the work of the College.

Dartington Summer Youth Programme is a summer school of creative courses in music, theatre, performance, photography and the technical arts especially for young people.

Dartington led project South West Music School is opening its doors for a second year, intent on uncovering the most exciting young musicians from across the region and significantly boosting their chances of making a career in the music industry.

South West Music School pupils perform at a unique gathering of the most talented young dancers and musicians of a generation.

South West Sound is about to kick-start its 5th annual music convention – positioning itself at the heart of the UK music industry debate, while giving real careers advice and business development opportunities to some of the top music talent in the South West
