Research in Practice is the largest children and families research implementation project in England and Wales. It is a department of The Dartington Hall Trust run in collaboration with the Association of Directors of Social Services and The University of Sheffield.

Research in Practice for Adults is a newly established research utilisation organisation for adult social care, established following a request from a network of local service agencies who wish to replicate, in adult social care, the services currently provided by research in practice in the child and family field.
The Policy Research Bureau is an independent social policy research centre based in London. A group of professional social policy researchers who specialise in the family and young people.
