Mammals Birds Other Animals Habitats
|
Five of Britain's 59 butterfly species have become extinct in recent years. The habitats of others such as the Pearl Bordered Fritillary, which include flower rich meadows, ancient woodlands and hedgerows, are also under threat. The eco watch team will be working specifically in these areas to try to turn the tide in their favour. We will also be carrying out butterfly transect surveys during the summer. |
