Fritjof Capra, who has longstanding connections with Schumacher College, was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Science by the University of Plymouth at their Faculty of Education awards ceremony held on Thursday 26 October at Exeter Cathedral.
Schumacher College was mentioned in the citation given during the presentation:
Fritjof lives in Berkeley, California, but has links with the South West through his involvement with Schumacher College, an international centre for ecological studies, where he frequently teaches courses which explore science-based approaches to resolving major conceptual and international issues.
