Karen Blincoe has been appointed as the new Director of Schumacher College.
Having attended a course at Schumacher in 1998, Karen returned to Denmark and was inspired to set up ICIS Centre (International Centre for Creativity, Innovation and Sustainability), which is based on the Schumacher experimental education model with a focus on sustainability and design.
Karen has previously worked as Chair for the Educational Council for Further Education in Design, Architecture, Art and Conservation and for the Ministry of Culture in Denmark.
Karen will be moving to the Dartington Estate with her husband, and will take up her position in September.
