Dartington College of Arts Special Meeting
The Board of Governors for Dartington College of Arts (DCA) convened a special meeting on 2nd March to discuss the recommendations of the independent report into the future of the College. The Governors have endorsed its findings that relocation to University College Falmouth (UCF) offers the best opportunity for the College to secure its future.
Vaughan Lindsay, Chief Executive of The Dartington Hall Trust comments:
“This is a sad day for the Trust, Dartington and the broader community. The College has been a vibrant part of Dartington for over 40 years. However, this independent report clearly shows that without securing the £20m the College needs to stay at Dartington, a move to Falmouth, however difficult, offers the best way to secure a sustainable future for the College. The Trust supports the Governors in this difficult decision and hopes that the coming negotiations with funders and UCF can be concluded as quickly as possible.”
