Central Offices

For many years it was the administrative and financial centre of the Dartington Hall Trust. It was also the location of Dartington’s Adult Education Centre, for the teaching of a wide variety of crafts.
Along with High Cross House and Warren Lane Central Offices is another example of the International Modern style, designed by William Lescaze in 1935 for use as offices, laboratories and a library.
Since being built the building has had some later additions and remodelling. It is currently rented out by the Trust.

The Central offices (also known as The Lescaze Offices) are situated off the second exit from the roundabout on the A385 at Shinners Bridge. Click here for a map.
These buildings are Grade II listed (click here to find out more about what listing means).
