Julian Stockwin Signing – Totnes Bookshop

Come and meet Julian Stockwin signing his new book and talking about his bestselling Kydd series. Julian writes action adventures based on actual historical record, the books are the story of one man’s journey from pressed man to admiral in the Great Age of Fighting Sail.

Dartington Food Fair
Sunday the 3rd June to Tuesday the 5th June
Three days of celebrating and sampling the incredible wealth of produce in the South West of England. The food festival will include over 50 local producers, chef demonstrations, family entertainment, live music and Diamond Jubilee celebrations. In addition for this year, there will be a craft marquee for you to enjoy.

Joseph Delany Signing – Totnes Bookshop
Tuesday the 29th June
We have managed to get Joseph Delany, bestselling author of the “Spooks” series to pop into the shop for a signing and present to local schools. Joe is a great speaker and been doing events for over ten years. Joe’s latest book is out in May. The first one is being made into a film this year (for release 2013) starring Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore. Joseph will be at The Grove in the morning and Parks School (TBC) in the afternoon.

Art Deco Music brings you a variety of styles and line ups from the Art Deco age, from the late 1920s to the 1940s.
Lead by vocalist Steve Chisholm, the ArtDeco Blue five recreates the authentic sounds of the jazz and “hot” dance bands of the 20s and 30s – Bix Beiderbecke, Ray Noble, Al Bowlly, Annette Hanshaw – and the kings of swing of the 40s – Duke Ellington, the Dorsey Brothers, Glenn Miller…
And, if you favour the “New Men” – Sinatra, Torme, Bennett – or those great songs of the 50s, the ArtDeco band has an ever growing book of nostalgic ballad from the era!

Named around its two guitarists (Rich Hamer and Julian Isaacs), the band is fronted by singer Rosie Corlett whose ability to sing in both French and English give the band a distinctly European flavour.
