Creative Courses in Music & Music Production

Dartington Summer Youth Programme is a summer festival of creative courses in music and music production especially designed for young people. A series of week-long, three-day and taster workshops are led by experienced professional artists and performers from the UK, supported by young emerging arts leaders from the South West.

Courses and workshops are offered at all levels and provide participants with the opportunity to work closely with a range of truly inspirational artists and ensembles, make new friends and create and perform exciting new work.

What will I gain from the Dartington Summer Youth Programme?

• DSYP will help you to develop new skills and explore your musical subject in an enthusiastic, friendly and creative environment.
• DSYP focuses on creativity, giving you the opportunity to work with inspirational and experienced tutors to create your own new pieces culminating in a performance to the public.
• DSYP employs tutors who are excellent musicians, have lots of experience and are fun to work with; giving you the chance to benefit from their professional backgrounds in music and the music industry.
• DSYP gives you the opportunity to create, explore and share work with new friends who have the same interests as you.
• DSYP provides opportunities to perform and/or record your new work.
