A specially created 3-day first access programme for budding string players and their parents. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the physics of sound, how instruments are made, try out violins, violas, cellos and double basses, play musical awareness games, develop a relaxed physical approach to instrumental playing, and have fun!
Parents can also get involved by joining us on the 3rd day of the course, when there will be an advice session on ‘nurturing talent’, to help and encourage parents and participants who are interested in proceeding with instrumental lessons. This day is also a chance to be matched up with some local instrumental teachers.
All string courses are directed by Fiona McLean with a team of professional tutors and emerging young music leaders.
