Join two cornerstones of our creative community for an evening of Christmas music and words in our iconic, 15th century Great Hall – an event guaranteed to get you well and truly into the festive spirit!
Listen to seasonal choral classics and join in with familiar carols conducted by Simon Capet, and settle back to a programme of spoken word to warm your hearts, as we celebrate the season with our community.
About Dartington Community Choir:
Founded in 1982, and inspired by the original Community Choir founded by Imogen Holst at Dartington in 1942, the Dartington Community Choir is a vital local resource for singers of all ages and ability. Conducted by Music Director Simon Capet, the choir meet regularly, presenting concerts and workshops at Dartington and the local area every year. Next Spring, the choir will present Ralph Vaughan Williams’ dramatic ‘A Sea Symphony’ and Stanford’s ‘Songs of the Fleet’ with the celebrated baritone Roderick Williams, soprano Catherine Hamilton and the Dartington Sinfonietta. Tickets will be available shortly.

The Playgoers Society of Dartington Hall have been making theatre at Dartington for over 70 years. They are committed to creating the best shows possible and presenting our audiences with dynamic, imaginative and engaging productions. The Playgoers also exist to provide opportunities in acting, directing, technical and front of house management. They are always looking for new people to join us and develop theatre skills.
