About this event
Days welcoming drop-in visits to the Lab’s information area where you can find out more about the project.
Our artists and volunteers may be working, but feel free to come by.
Arts Lab embodies a ‘progressive lab for living and learning’ that is central to Dartington’s ethos. Through dynamic ideas and making grounded in what it is to be human, we experiment, play, collaborate and challenge the status quo. Our aim is to build and energise happier, more connected and more resilient communities. We invite you to be a part of this in a way that best suits you – from simply showing an interest and giving us feedback to signing up for a workshop or getting involved in an artist-led project.

More to Enjoy
The Dartington Experiment began over 90 years ago when our founders, Dorothy and Leonard Elmhirst, set out to build a community inspired by the idea of a ‘many-sided life’.
Today, we believe that their vision is more relevant today than ever before. We aim to be a place where people can realise their individual and collective potential, and are given a chance to connect with themselves, each other, and the environment.
Across the estate, a programme of events and visitor attractions operate year-round; artists, makers, farmers, educators, craftspeople and entrepreneurs live and work; and the community continues to ‘learn by doing’, finding inspiration in the Elmhirst’s progressive ideas and experimental approach.Find out more
