About this COURSE
Capture the cold crisp light and darkness in this stunning late winter landscape painting course set in Dartington’s wonderful gardens.
This fabulous four-day course aims to encourage participants to experiment in a creative way in contemporary landscape painting.
Learn how to bring depth, mood, and emotion into the scene using experimental painting techniques under the tutorage from this very cool artist.
Play with colour and character in your work and discover your mark within the landscape. With practical advice and tutorials on styling and composing your paintings, if you’ve ever struggled with light and shadow, or wondered how to capture slow the low shadows of winter, this is the course for you.

FOOD AND DRINK
On this course, dinner and welcome drinks will be provided on Monday at 6.30pm. Lunch will be provided on Tuesday-Friday. These communal meals are a vital part of the learning experience and we strongly recommend you attend them.
Tea and coffee will be available throughout the course.
RESIDENTIAL OPTION
We recommend that if possible, you stay on-site during your course. All our courses are best experienced holistically: through working, relaxing, eating and staying with other course participants and tutors.

– Check-in for all rooms is from 3pm on the day of arrival
– Check-out for all departures is 11am on the day of departure
