Deer Park Tuesdays

About this event

After a long year stuck in classrooms being FAR too sensible, the little ones deserve some wild time this summer – and down in the Dartington’s deer park woods, we have just the adventure!

Each Tuesday of the school holidays, the dappled forest will be transformed into a dell of crafty, artsy family fun – perfect for getting the children away from a screen and out into the woods.

We’ve forest trails, a mud kitchen, target games and craft tables where kids can make their own forest crowns, wands and nature mobiles.

What’s coming up:

Every Tuesday, we’ll have a special theme around which the activities are based. Here’s what we’ve got coming up:

30th July – Art in Earth Studios

6th Aug – Charcoal Making

13th Aug – Mindful Forests – sensory awareness nature walk

20th Aug – Hazel Hurdle Weaving

Every Tuesday morning from 30th July to 20th August – 10am to 12.30pm in Dartington Deer Park. Suitable for 3- 10 year olds.

Price: £5 per person, £4 per person if you have Family Membership. Babes in arms free entry. Limited spaces so book early.

Food and drink available at The Green Table, White Hart of Barn Cinema Café – or bring your own packed lunch.

Visiting Dartington Hall

At our 1,200 acre estate, based in South Devon, there’s plenty to explore – from the natural beauty of the grounds, to our visitor attractions and year-round events programme. You can also make a stay of it with our historic hotel or campsite, and enjoy award-winning food and drink in our cafes and restaurants.

We are a charity, and over the past few years we have begun to revitalise our vision, purpose and impact as an experimental project. As a member, you’ll feel much more a part of our work, helping us to create a Dartington that is fit for the 21st century and is a model and test-bed for a sustainable society.
