About this event
Filmmaker Ron Howard turns an affectionate, enthusiastic lens on the life and career of famed opera tenor Luciano Pavarotti in this soaring documentary featuring never-before-seen footage, concert performances and intimate interviews.
The son of a Modena baker, the ebullient, famously likeable Pavarotti described himself as a ‘peasant’, even after – having begun his career while still a teacher, full of uncertainty that he could make it – his extraordinary voice, humble and rich, catapulted him to become one of the biggest classical music stars on the planet, enjoying crossover success into popular music as a member of the ‘Three Tenors’, who regularly sang to crowds of over 200,000. A joyous celebration of an out-sized personality and an exceptional talent.

Visiting Dartington Hall
Dartington is an old place with a new story.
The Dartington Experiment began in 1925 and was based on the idea that humans are many-sided – and how we need environments that encourage our whole being to flourish, in connection with nature and each other.
This idea is as true today is it ever was.
