About this event

Join the broadcast team to help get Reception Celebration on air. Opportunity for aspiring journalists, radio presenters and technicians aged 8-16. Interviews, recordings, presenting live radio.

Record interviews and music, capture the sounds of activities, and help us to broadcast younger children’s voices, stories and noises throughout the weekend. Learn to use a live and licensed radio studio.

For unaccompanied children aged 8-16. Parents/guardians will need to complete a permissions form and understand our media privacy policies. Soundart Radio will be in contact with you about this prior to the event.

Free festival for families, celebrating children’s voices on the radio. Experiment with sound and transmission, tell stories, play music, sing and parade!

Drop in story-making activities, art exhibition and live broadcasts are available throughout the weekend of 14-15 September. For the full programme of events, including many free options, head to our event microsite.
