About this event
The Saturday Market is a weekly celebration of the best local food, craft and music the area has to offer.
We are lucky to have an abundance of quality products grown and made in our community, and we’re delighted to offer a beautiful space for the farmers and producers to offer it to you directly.
And this year for the first time, these local businesses will be joined by some terrific local music acts! So come on down, browse our stalls and support your community whilst enjoying great food, drink and more.

Huxbear Wine
Ben & Lucy Hulland have over 15 acres of vineyard in the Teign Valley, where they produce both still and sparkling wines. They are working hard to be fully sustainable, using minimum intervention and integrated pest management in the fields, and running the winery completely off-grid. The vegan wines they produce are some of the best that the UK has to offer. Wickhams Great British Wine Merchant says: “This is as good as anything you’ll get from Champagne – and at a great price”
The Big Kebabski
If you haven’t tried their fully vegan kebabs, you’d better hurry, because they sell out fast, and for good reason. This is some of the tastiest street food you will ever have; even hard-core carnivores are smitten by the flavour explosion!
Montreal Style Bagels
The Bosko Bus
A new gut-health food truck run by Charly, who is all about fresh & fermented, local, sustainably sourced foods. With homemade slow-cooked chicken, vegetarian, and vegan tempeh options as well as gluten & dairy free baguettes, there’s something for everyone. Try the Bánh Mì or a Bosko Bowl – a taste sensation!
Venus Hemp
Offers a beautiful array of local hemp products made from hemp grown right here on the Dartington Estate. As Katharine can tell you, hemp is one of the most versatile, eco-friendly plants in the world, with thousands of uses. What other crop is not only delicious and nutritious but can also be used to build your house, power your batteries, and clean your soil!? And that’s just a short list. Also, check out the delicious-smelling facial oils – totally luxurious!
Raw Indulgence
Dawn at Raw Indulgence will be tantalising everyone with her raw, vegan, and refined sugar-free treats. These beautiful works of art are ridiculously tasty, and thankfully very good for you too, because it’s not easy to stop at one… You can honestly tell these are made with love and dedication.
East Street Pottery
So!
So!, a local company in Modbury run by Sharon Downing, makes beautiful accessories for you and your home, all from waste fabric destined for landfill. From lampshades to throws, totes to backpacks, these are gorgeous luxury items that (as Sharon says) don’t “cost the earth”!
Dartington Trust
SoaperSudz
SoaperSudz in Paignton create natural soaps through the careful selection of natural ingredients which minimise the impact on our planet while promoting good skin health. These are beautifully simple and functional handmade soaps showcasing nature’s gifts by using quality natural oils (coconut, olive, sunflower, castor), cocoa butter, pure essential oils and botanicals. with no fragrance oils, colours or toppings. All the soaps are vegan, non-animal tested, totally natural, and plastic- and palm-free.
Spindlewood Farm
Spindlewood Farm is an agroecological farm in South Devon, producing high quality, high welfare chicken and goat, as near organic as you can get without the official stamp. And let’s not forget the charcoal! With a team of working horses, Olivia and co. extract wood thinnings from their sustainable woodland, then use traditional methods with a ring kiln and a carefully managed burn to produce beautiful, chemical-free charcoal that will be ready to cook within 10 minutes of your lighting it. So you can get the sausages on before the rain comes in!
devon wildlife Trust
The Devon Wildlife Trust will be here to talk about what they do to promote and protect Devon’s wildlife and natural environment. From butterflies to mussels, from fields to urban wildflower meadows, the amazing world around you is protected and managed by the Trust with passion, reasoned arguments, and sound evidence. Come find out more about what they do!
Totnes Pottery Collective
Every week, The Totnes Pottery Collective stall is headed and stocked by different members of its group. We can promise a beautiful selection of pottery, and of course it is always wonderful to meet the makers and hear their inspirations.
