Research in Practice and Research in Practice for Adults works nationwide to embed evidence-informed practice across the design and delivery of social care. With a membership network of over 120 local, national and voluntary sector organisations, we work closely with professionals across the children, families and adult sectors to ensure our work is truly sector-led and responds to the most pressing issues.
Our evidence-informed approach brings together academic research, practice expertise and the experiences of people accessing services. We then apply this knowledge to develop a range of resources and learning opportunities, as well as delivering tailored services, expertise and training. Our learning and development activities aim to support organisations to embed evidence-informed practice across their workforce.
We work with a network of expert associates to help design and deliver our national workforce development programme. We have an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality participatory workshops with adult and children’s social care professionals.
We are looking for people with experience in training, with excellent facilitation skills (of a participatory nature) and a good understanding of relevant research and policy. You will also have a solid understanding of either child and family social care or adult social care.
Your experience may be in training delivery/workforce development, academia, local authority, social care or the voluntary sector. Whatever your professional background, you will be comfortable working with adult and/or child and family social care professionals, with a good understanding (or be prepared to develop knowledge) in key practice areas, for example: strengths based working, analysis and critical thinking, making and evidencing defensible decisions, safeguarding and reflective supervision.
You should have the capacity to take on freelance work and be prepared to travel with occasional overnight stays required.
