We’re delighted to announce that the Dartington Hall Trust is now registered with the Office For Students. This means we meet the Office For Students requirements for course quality, academic standards, student support, student protection and more.

For applicants and those with offers who are intending to start their course at Schumacher College or Dartington Arts School in September 2020 or January 2021, this also means you can now apply for government loans to cover your fees and help with living costs.

Director of Learning at the Dartington Hall Trust, Dr Pavel Cenkl, said it was the beginning of a new era.

“We are all exceptionally pleased to be registered as an official UK higher education provider.

“This will, for the first time in our history, give students access to funding essential for enrolling in our taught programmes.

“Combined with our low-residency programmes, online modules, and flexible learning modes, OFS registration is an integral part of Dartington’s strategy to open access to learning for as broad a range of learners as possible.”

The news comes as Schumacher College looks forward to welcoming a record number of students this Autumn and the new Dartington Arts School also welcomes its first cohort of students.
