Research in Practice (RiP) works with organisations across the children and adult health and social care sector, supporting them to develop an evidence-informed approach to their work. Our focus is on using evidence from research, practice and lived experience to provide resources that improve policy and services, in order to achieve positive outcomes for people of all ages.

We are looking for two talented Research and Development Officers to join our team.

As our ideal candidates you will have direct practice experience of working in a social care role and setting. With a relevant degree and research experience, you will be an organised, positive and IT-literate professional. You will use your excellent presentation and writing skills, and current sector knowledge to develop resources to support the sector, including publications and workshops.

For our Practice Development position we are looking for someone with a professional social care practice qualification and experience (Social Worker or Occupational Therapist).

For the Children and Adults position we are particularly interested in applicants with experience across both adults and children’s social care.

You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and used to collaborative working, you will have the communication skills to inspire, influence and engage others. Above all, you share our passion for helping others to use evidence to improve the lives of people of all ages.

We work with clients across England and Wales from our main office in Dartington, Devon and a satellite office in Sheffield. Candidates can apply to work in either location.
