Volunteer Opportunity: Gardener

About this opportunity

Support the work of the gardens team in maintaining the world class Grade 2* listed gardens for everyone to enjoy.

Dartington Gardens is open as a place for anyone to come to, relax in, and be inspired by. We welcome over one million visitors per year and every effort goes into maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout.

Your contribution to the gardens will be greatly appreciated; in return you will hopefully broaden your knowledge of horticulture, learn new skills and feel part of the Dartington team.

Time: Most volunteers offer a day a week Monday-Friday, starting at approximately 10am and finishing around 4.00pm. The gardens are open all year round.

Tasks:

  1. Edging lawns
  2. Tending herbaceous borders
  3. Pruning
  4. Leaf clearing
