Barn Cinema
Welcome to the Barn Cinema
The SHOOT 2011 Short Film Festival – winner announced!
The 6th annual SHOOT Short Film Festival took place in November and featured some of the very best short films from the West Country’s new generation of filmmakers.
Congratulations to the winner of this year’s Festival – Amanda Bluglass’ Ray: A Life Underwater – as overwhelmingly voted for by the audience.
Amanda’s film is an intimate portrait of an extraordinary man – Ray Ives (pictured right) – a 75 year-old former commercial diver who spent his life amassing an amazing hoard of scavenged artefacts. The film sensitively captures Ray’s story as he reflects on his years of salvaging and his secret to a long and happy life.
Beautifully shot, original and touching, see it for yourselves during the main programme in 2012! It will be screened alongside one of our main features, so check the website or brochure for details and don’t miss this truly delightful work.
