Donate to the Grounds & Gardens

Contribute to the care and preservation of our gardens and landscape. Our Grade II* Listed Gardens and 800 acres of woods, farmland and river banks have been loved and enjoyed for centuries. Now, we need your help in preserving them for future visitors. The garden and estate teams work year-round to keep our Grade II* Listed gardens and estate beautifully maintained and accessible for all to discover and enjoy; an inspiring living place where community and nature come together. As well as being a place for enjoyment and tranquillity, the gardens and land offer a wonderful natural resource that allows us to test and explore innovations in agriculture, sustainable land use and conservation. Your donations are crucial to support the continuation of this work.

Donate to The Barn Cinema

Your donation helps us maintain our year-round film programme at the iconic Barn Cinema, a beloved cinema venue since the 1970s. With ongoing heating costs for our historic 15th-century building and a need for a new projector, your contribution ensures we can continue offering great films for years to come - keeping the magic alive for another 50 years!

Walks & Woods: The North Woods Project

Help us to manage our vast woodland and pathways across 800 acres of estate.
Current projects include the long-term management plan to revitalise North Woods into a thriving eco system and area of significant importance for the Estate. Read more here

Higher Meadow Link Path

Inspired by Beatrix Farrand’s work at Dumbarton Oaks in Washington, DC (USA). A meandering all weather path through spring bulbs and wildflowers linking Flora steps to the upper entrance and rest of the gardens.

The Valley Field Meadow Project

We aim to convert 5 acres of amenity turf into a haven for nature. Developing a diverse nectar rich meadow for wildlife and moments of connection with our surrounding biodiversity.
