The team consists of senior executive staff from across the Trust’s activities and subsidiary trading companies.
![]() | Robert Fedder, Interim CEO Robert’s career has spanned 30 years, with senior roles in a broad range of industries with major multinationals and Small/Medium Enterprises (SMEs) alike. His focus is on performance improvement and business turnarounds, focussing on operational and supply-chain efficiency and with a sales and marketing innovation perspective. Robert has previously been Vice President of 02 Germany, Chief Marketing Officer and Deputy CEO at Compaq Computer Ltd, and Director at KPMG. Passionate about photography, food, Bowie and music generally, Robert is based locally near Exeter. He is a graduate of LSE and Vienna University. |
Board of Trustees
Dartington Trust is governed by a Board of Trustees. Members of the Board have two roles: first as directors of the company in company law and secondly as trustees of the charity. It is a non-executive Board and members are unpaid.
![]() | David Buchler, Chair David is a Chartered Accountant and Turnaround Expert, with over 45 years of experience in the field of Insolvency and Corporate Turnaround. He was a Partner at Arthur Andersen prior to becoming a Founding Partner of Buchler Phillips, one of the UK’s leading financial recovery and restructuring specialists. He is a former President of the Association of Business Recovery and Turnaround Professionals, the R3; an Honorary Member of INSOL Europe; former Vice-Chairman of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club; former Deputy Chairman of the English National Opera; as well as Producer of the London International Opera Festival. David is Chair of several companies. He is a Trustee of Syracuse University; a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) and the Institute for Turnaround. He was the winner of the 2024 Outstanding Contribution to the Profession IPA Award. |
