Dartington Food Fair 2012

The Dartington Food Fair will be a great family fun day out on the famous Dartington Hall Estate located a mile from Totnes in the beautiful South Hams area of Devon.

After our first very successful Food Fair event held earlier in the year we are delighted to announce that for 2012 the event will be even more exciting!

It will take place at the beginning of June on Sunday 3rd, Monday 4th and Tuesday 5th June from 10am until 6pm at The Shops at Dartington (entrance off the A 385) in association with Taste of The West.

The Shops at Dartington is a collection of specialist shops and restaurants in a village setting with something for everyone – a Craft gallery selling the work of many local artists, a Toy shop, a Glass gallery specializing in Dartington glass, a Kitchen shop that is a cooks delight, a Fashion and Jewellery gallery, My Time selling beauty products, Home Bazaar offering an eclectic mix of home furnishings, Inside out selling unusual garden sheds and garden furniture, Stationery, books and gifts. Our Food shop is bursting with tasty treats, we actively source local produce and offer a selection of organic lines, ciders, beers and ales with fresh items from the deli including, pies, cheeses and olives.

In addition, for the Fair we will offer the following:

• Demonstration kitchen featuring 20 of the regions top chefs cooking up a storm throughout the event
• Producers marquee with over 50 local producers
• Several eating opportunities
• Craft Marquee
• Cider Marquee
• Children’s cooking experience
• Lots of children’ entertainment such as throwing a pot, face painting, fire juggling shows, balloon artist, visiting petting animals
• Bookable sessions of kayaking, archery, bike riding on the beautiful Dartington estate
• Live jazz music throughout the event from several well known groups
• Competitions galore!
• Films at the Barn Cinema
• Award winning food available at the White Hart pub and restaurant
• Walks through the estate
