It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day….

The doors are finally back open at the Green Table this morning with increased indoor seating. Still some minor finishing touches left to do, so please excuse some of the rough edges but… it’s just so good to be properly up and running after all this time!

Can’t wait to see you x

A little change to the food offer on the estate this week, folks. We have some Covid-related staff shortages to contend with so have had to rejig somewhat:

- Afraid no breakfasts or lunches at the Green Table tomorrow (Weds) but normal service resuming on Thursday. But we’ll be open for coffees, cake etc during usual times.

- No Sunday Roasts this week in the White Hart, but the bar will be open for anyone working up a thirst after an estate stomp 🙂

Keep your eyes peeled on this page for any more updates, and apologies for any disappointment the changes cause. Plus, as ever, we are still looking for chefs to join our team, so head to the website if that’s you!

We are down a chef in the White Hart this evening so sadly no suppers being served tonight, folks. That said, the bar is still very much open and fully stocked with fab local beers, wines, gin etc.

Apologies for the inconsistency in the WH and GT offer at the mo, we really appreciate your patience as we navigate some choppy waters. As you likely know from the “news”, there’s a big shortage of kitchen team members locally and nationally. We are so keen to hear from chefs in particular - if that’s you, then please do visit the Dartington careers page for more info!

Good news or .. slightly less good news?

Well, the less good news is that due to the ongoing shortage of chefs (locally and across the country it would appear), the Green Table is having to cut back on its food offer for the next few weeks. We wont be serving breakfast and lunches Monday - Wednesday during October - just cracking coffee, teas, freshly baked sweet treats etc. Really sorry, wish we didn't have to!

The good news pt1 is this Saturday 10am-3pm is Farmers Market time - the last for the season! Come and pick up some fab fresh produce, artisan crafts and the like and support your local farmers, makers and other talented folk.

Also in the good news category is that the Roundhouse Cafe is reopening to service the nibbles and drinks needs of film goers at the Barn Cinema. Bond is BACK this week so we might sup some cocktails even.

Hope to see you soon!

Dakota- a relatively new convert to kimchi - has been helping to make a double batch for our Ferment festival and, even better, for our kimchi and organic cheddar toasties. Five more days to go on this batch, but we've got plenty to hand in the cafe! #slowfood #fermentation #spicy #frickindelicious ...
